Superman...the Stalker?

An Italian man was recently arrested for stalking Italy's prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi...dressed as Superman!

No, this is not a "comic book movie" story, but it's just so weird that I had to share it with our loyal readers...













Italy's prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, has been under the watchful eye of the Last Son of Krypton, Superman, for over a year now. The only problem? "Superman" was 29-year-old aspiring actor Pasquale Putignano.

Putignano has been trying to get the prime minister's attention for months, hoping that a recommendation from the former media mogul would help launch his career. In desperation, Putignano dressed as Superman and crept around outside of Berlusconi's Rome residence until the prime minister departed, at which point Putignano energetically tried to get the prime minister's attention.

Putignano was arrested by state security and appeared in court still attired in his Superman costume...minus the cape, which was likely taken away for safety reasons.

We've all heard the "Spider-Man" stories a million times (dudes who climb buildings in Malaysia and other places dressed as Spider-Man), but this is the first time I ever heard of someone dressing up like Supes to stalk a state leader!
