It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."

The Amazing Spider-Man's greatest battle begins in May 2nd, 2014.

Interesting... It'll be interesting to see who wins the Cap v Spidey box office battle

I think Cap'll edge it by a few million

Impressive for Transformers since it was only 40 seconds give or take, but then it did have a load of explosions and Optimus riding Grimlock lol

The Transformers spot was awesome! I'm probably the minority that liked it. The scope was much smaller, it seemed (based on observations) to be much more personal. The action, as always, looked great! The cgi was ok, but I can't fault them on that. It takes a hell of a long time to render. And... DINOBOTS!

I know people are mad because of Grimlock horns, but take into consideration his robot mode. He may not purposely have them or come from a particular dinosaur, it can be a section of his alt mode.

I loved it!

But... TWS had the best one IMO.

I think Spidey will easily beat Cap's Box Office number.. but that doesn't mean it'll be better. I'm hoping TASM2 is epic and a masterpiece however Cap2 looks to be the CBM of the year so far.

I really liked all of the spots, specifically the TF:AoE spot, since nothing from the film was shown before and it was interesting to see first footage from it. Cap is my most anticipated (because of the new trailer) and Spidey will rock too.

I love the TASM2 and Cap's trailers and ads to death, but there is no doubt in my opinion that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going for the big $1B this time around.

John Campea from AMC Movie Talk just said on the show that he has heard from reliable sources that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be for the Spider-Man's franchise what The Dark Knight was to Batman's. I think that Captain America: The Winter Soldier will make some SOLID business, millions more than Thor: The Dark World, but the mains attraction this year is most definitely Spider-Man 2.

I don't remember seeing a film with such an epic feel to it since The Avengers. This is Spider-Man at his prime. So yeah, while I'm sure that both will be brilliant films, I think The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be the superhero film of the year, if not THE film of the year. It's just a perfect package of ingredients that I feel that will appeal to the GA and fanboys alike.

Cap kind of has a lead on Spidey IMO because a good portion of the cast was in AVENGERS. But Spidey has the big name and over seas advantage, so we''ll have to see.

The Cap trailer was the best, but Optimus riding Grimlock was the most wow moment I've seen so far. That scene alone is worth the ticket price!

"LOL. Man of Steel is barely better than Green Lantern. DC fanboys claiming that shit isn't shit won't suddenly turn shit to gold. The people AND the critics have spoken: Iron Man 3 is THE superhero film of the year. A website filled with disfranchised fanboys and their fakes won't change that."

Same dude who thought TASM was awesome, and that TASM 2 will be the best CBM of 2014.

Seems legit.

Cap had the best trailer as far as quality but spider and transformers are more popular with people thus them remembering them, plus the cap trailer aired before the game started, so it's kinda of a cheap move

If Marvel does a big publicity push for cap, they could be more of a contender BO wise, it's just Caps powers aren't as "cool" as spider mans or giant robots fighting, but story, dilivery, and execution wise as far as trailers go, Cap gets the win

The GA eats up transformers because of the whole giant robot aspect and spidey is one of the most recognize able heros, the best films doesn't necessarily mean they a BO monsters, so are but some are just bot

Cap was the best. I was going to try to compose and argument with 'Zauri', but it would equate to this:

Spidey is going to destroy Cap in the box office - domestically and globally.

they may of been the most remembered but captain america the winter soldier was the best.

The mojority of this site believes cap had the best so it really isnt too much to debate with here. The GA is just more attracted to spidey and optimus.

Personally for me im so glad cap has his own solo series cuz he deserves it. We had 4 spiderman films with countless games and cartoons and transformers has had 3 badly written films with an overdose of tnt, it transformers has had a huge dose of cartoons and all. Cap is relatively fresh to the GA. Yes he had previous old movies but they were horrendous. He is a breath odf fresh air. So seeeing Captain America on the big screen again is more exciting to see than more spiderman and more robots. Again this is my opinion
marvel72

i predict spidey & transformers will do a billion on at least close to it,captain america close to $750,000,000.

@Pasto

I loved both spots and trailers equally. Not sure why you want to start an argument with me, since my article is deprived from any personal opinion of mine whatsoever. Read the article again, then read the original article. It's literally the same, I'm actually acknowledging that some of my articles went overboard with my personal opinion, but this article is actually op-ed free. Don't kill the messenger, buddy.

As for what was the most effective, I can see how to make a case for either of them: TASM2 and CA:TWS looks nothing short of stellar to me. It isn't me who is saying that TASM2 and TF4 had the most effective trailers, it's MovieTickets.com via The Wrap. Once again, don't kill the messenger, mates.

People probably weren't too familiar with the Captain America tv spot because it was the FIRST commercial of the game. I was amazed at how many of my friends missed it. I even did a survey of which trailer they enjoyed the most and "Transformers: Age of Extinction" took the lead.

To me...

-Transformers 4
-TASM 2
-TMNT
-Guardians of the Galaxy

Are going to be the heavy hitters for the General Audience and Fans.

While..

-Godzilla
-Days of Future Past
-Cap 2
-Planet of the Apes 2

Will be aimed at the mature audiences and teens. (with a pinch of kiddies for cap)
