Fans were seemingly distressed to see that 5 episodes of The Legend of Korra's third season were removed from future broadcast. Many suspected this meant the immediate cancellation of the show following record ratings lows with the newest season. Thankfully though this won't happen as confirmed by The Legend of Korra's co-creator Bryan Konietzko. He posted the image below on tumblr to the relief of many fans.

Now the questions remian will this effect the broadcast of the rest of the series into Season 4? What will the digital platforms being used be? To alleviate some of you, we can look forward to this series getting a proper ending as Nickelodeon has already ordered a Season 4. What do you think about all of this? How are they supposed to keep ratings with this wonky schedule they picked this year. Also, hey, Nickelodeon, you want ratings? Try [frick]ing promoting your shows. Dumbasses.

Seen this and i'm absolutely PISSED OFF about it!!!

firstly they barely promote the show anyways, they hardly ever show re-runs and when they do its one teen nick or nick2, also they over play SpongeBob SquarePants which now accounts for 45% of the channel’s programming hours

For some reason I hate Korra so much.

If they make a movie about her because Shamalayan killed Aang I'm gonna throw my TV through the window

SupermanFan she can still go into the Avatar state I think she did it in the first or second episode of the new season.

SupermanFan I believe it is the avatar channeling the spirit of Raava, merged with their own powers. I haven't watched last season in a while, but I believe that is how they explained it.

supermanfan- it still does give the avatar the skills and knowledge of the past lives but it would be impossible to do so without raavaa the spirit that powers the avatar state.

@Demiurge that gif is just too damn sexy

Anyway, why are they screwing with the best series they have? Legend of Korra has been way better than the original since it started.

raava is the avatar state, yes it is retconed. wan could bend 1 elemement at a time before fusing with raavaa. raavaa would hold the other 3 elements then pass through him to give him a diffrent element, he could only bend all 4 when raavaa was in his body.

"Wan's Avatar State would have been greatly less powerful than Aang's and Korra's." im not disputeing this, but we are assumeing that what roku said was 100% the truth and not simply how he was taught the avtar state works. either way the show is still a very good show.

Korra is fine on its own, but when it tries to retcon set up Lore, it falls flat on its face

@kinghulk @supermanfan. Korra only found out about Raava after she'd lost her memory, Aang didn't know about her and neither did Roku. Roku referred to the avatar state as a defense mechanism and their strongest state because that is what Avatars have all known it to be as it is often triggered in a time of great distress and/or need. Example Aang being bloodbent by Yacone or being attacked by Ozai. Really the glow is Raava taking over and connecting the current avatar to the past avatars and their abilities as she was the only connection between them. Raava set up the ability for a normal bender to be able to bend all four elements as well as the reincarnation factor. Roku doesn't explain how the avatar line started so it's not like they are changing anything. Wan being the first avatar does make him a bit weaker than the others as he's starting from "scratch". The reason why he was able to trap Vaatu is cause he had spent time learning to master all four elements as well as having some help from Raava. Rooku says that an Avatar is most vulnerable in their avatar state since death in the avatar state would mean no more avatars (a theory im guessing) and this kinda happens to Korra when she gets careless while fighting Unalaq. He is able to take her avatar state aka Raava and once taken he sorta reboots Raava taking all past connections away. The avatar and reincarnation line was broken, only reinstated when Raava returned to Korra's body making her the new Avatar of the new cycle. We should actually be arguing about who would win in a match Hulk or Superman? haha actually let's not!. Anyways damn you Nick, you piece of shit!
