This March, the Philippines will experience the coming of its latest and ultimate superhero comic book called SUPERHERO NG BAYAN (Superhero of the Nation) Photo-comics.

This new breed of comic book will be a pure superhero comic book and its superheroes are all creator-owned. What makes this comic book different is that it contains photos of actors and not illustrations, meaning that the superheroes are "real". That's where the photo-comics part comes in.

The superheroes are all created by Sonny Minoza. Sonny will actually play the part of the first superhero (to be revealed on a later date) to be launched.

According to Sonny, "Having "real" or "live" superheroes as positive role models will make it easier for us to relay our messages to kids. Once the kids see that their idol is real, the more they'll be interested in him and will support what he stands for."

Of course, Sonny added, "We'll be very careful in choosing who'll portray our superheroes. They should be naturally kind-hearted with good reputations."

Sonny is one of the country's top Mentalist/Magician (spoiler), and does a number of charity work to help less-fortunate kids.

This project is supported by: ABS-CBN's HERO TV, The Philippine Star, KIDS ONLY Magazine and PSICOM Publishing.

More news to come as March nears. Stay tuned Philippines!
