Along with the producer of "The Fast and The Furious" Maguire is planning to adapt "Afterburn" as a movie.

The series set in a postapocalyptic Earth, follows treasure hunters who seek items like the Mona Lisa, the Rosetta Stone and England's Crown Jewels while battling rival hunters, mutants and pirates.

The series first premiered earlier this year in January from Red 5 Comics which was founded by Scott Chitwood. "Afterburn" was written by Paul Ens and drawn by Wayne Nichols.

Maguire and Neal Moritz are producing the feature while no writer is yet attached.
