Let's get started, shall we?

5) John Williams - Superman

Can't go wrong with classics, right? John Williams seems to be well known for music that can get stuck in your head and never leave. Jurassic Park, Star Wars and Superman just to name a couple. It's not my absolute favorite from a superhero movie but, it definitely is always going to deserve the top five because it's THE most recognizable superhero theme ever and it's obviously really good.

4) Danny Elfman - Spider-Man 1 and 2

When you think of Spider-Man, people mostly get Raimi's Spider-Man in their head. When they think of the music, it's either one of two things. Hero by Chad Kroeger ft. Josey Scott (I absolutely love the hell out of that song, that's a definitive non-score Spidey theme) and Danny Elfman's score. Elfman's score is exciting and really good. It's one of the best themes from Superhero movies but, it's only flaw is that it doesn't feel like Spider-Man.

3) Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

I originally wasn't going to put this on the list but, I've always found it hard to find a superhero score that was not only really good but also fit the movie and hopefully the character too. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance's score was that. No, not exactly memorable but, I've found it to be rather enjoyable. The movie may get crap but there are 5 things that make the movie worth it Nicolas Cage, Johnny Whitworth, Idris Elba, the action and the score. Especially Johnny Whitworth, that guy is the highlight of the movie. But, you get the point. Spirit of Vengeance made number three. Deal with it. Very under rated. Not the movie, the score.

2) Alan Silvestri - Captain America: The First Avenger

This is the Superman theme for Captain America. It's memorable, fits the character with perfection and despite being short, it's a very, very good score from Alan Silvestri. It's the best score in the MCU, the best deserves the very best. As far as the solo films go, Alan Silvestri nailed it with Captain America.

1) James Horner - The Amazing Spider-Man

This is THE definitive Spider-Man score. It's heroic, exciting, it's got everything. James Horner hit the nail right on the head with this one. It's a very good, very engrossing score. I was humming this the entire ride home after seeing it in the theater. As with Captain America, this is the Superman theme for Spider-Man. This is the best Spider-Man score and I hope Horner comes back for seconds.

@Levi: Honestly, I don't remember any of the scores for the Batman movies. Not Elfman and not Zimmer. Yes, James Horner's score for The Amazing Spider-Man topped the list over Elfman. Elfman's was exciting and one of the best but, it doesn't feel like Spider-Man.

I remember it now that I listened to it but, I probably won't remember it in like five minutes.

Ha i knew this thread was made by Nick Salinski. I didnt even have to click it and i knew it was basically a marvel fan boy trying to lend credulence to the kiddy shit marvel has done. The truth is everyone and their dog knows hans Zimmers score in the TDK, nobody, none remembers any of the marvel scores, literally none, this is basically a marvel fanboy reaching hard. good effort though.

as you never read the dc comics and originally had plenty to say about them not being good, memorable, etc. i wonder if you have actually seen any of the batman movies because if you have you would know thats it more memorable than any of the ones you have listed there.

Even thou I don't agree with most of your choices, I'll have to respect that you clearly went with your own opinion, not by the most common public opinion. I would've probably also tried not to put more than one record from one hero, but hey; your list: your rules. So good job.

So.... You would put John Williams behind the rest of
Of those goofballs. Dude, you are out of your mind.
Any time anyone thinks of superman, that theme pops
Into their head. None of the rest of those themes have
That effect.

Sorry bro just can't agree.

Scores for Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Iron Man and Avengers > all on this list except for Superman.

This is what the real top 5 would be: Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Superman, Avengers and Iron Man.

TASM's score was utterly forgettable and at times made no sense.

Don't really have a specific order but I would go Avengers, Donner Superman, Spider-man 2, Captain America, and 89 Batman. They just have iconic themes that I can always remember.

@tonytony: I've seen every live action Batman movie starting with the '89 Tim Burton film. While I've liked all of them, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin being the only ones I don't like. I've honestly never found the scores to be memorable in any way, shape or form.
@Odin: I wasn't going to have more than one score for a superhero but, I just went to the ones I found memorable.
