After getting a new president two days ago the academy has announced that former host Ellen Degeneres ("Finding Nemo") will be returning to host the 86th Annual Oscars. After Seth "Ted" MacFlarane's horrible Oscar jokes last year, this will be very refreshing. The star returns as the title character in 2016's "Finding Dory" and has her own talk show.
She pulled in impressive rating in her time as host. In fact, MacFarlane’s ratings were the strongest since she’d hosted. He pulled in 40.3 million viewers, and she brought in 39.9 million.
Have you cashed in your early Oscar predictions? Personally this summer I think the most Oscar worthy film was Tom Cruise's Oblivion. What do you think about this years Academy Awards? Make sure to comment!
The 86th Annual Academy Awards air on March 2.
