The Warner Bros. Green Lantern production has been picking speed since the New Year. Martin Campbell has been revealing just about every detail of his interpretation of the Emerald knight. To hype up this film more, he has been filling up the cast for the coveted roles of good guys and eventually converted baddies.
However, the eyes of fans throughout the world have been primarily fixated upon the casting of Hal Jordan's sophisticated mentor, Sinestro. Fans have expressed their urgent pleas to cast the ever more popular Hugo Weaving, who would most likely say "Mr. Jordan." The closest rival against "Mr. Anderson's" nemesis is Jason Isaacs, who hates The Patriot aka Braveheart.
The two names have been floating around the internet ever since the Green Lantern was officially announced to be helmed by Martin Campbell. Untill recently, Martin revealed a surprise candidate for the purple yellow lantern. The name revealed was very surprising that many fans may have qouted, "Damn, why didn't I think of him!"
Martin's candidate is none other than Mark Strong, who recently appeared in Sherlock Holmes as the villain as well as a badass in Rock N Rolla which starred Gerard "Leonidas" Butler. Strong has a name that personifies who Sinestro is, a strong disciplined presence.
With Mark Strong as Martin's perfect choice, who from these three gentlemen is really Sinestro? To tell you the truth, I can picture any of these guys as Hal's arch rival both mentally and physically, heck let all of them be featured in the film because this is pretty tough.
