My take on the idea of Wonder Woman being a descendent of the Kryptonians, so as to fit into the realistic tone of the Man Of Steel film.

OK, but I still believe that WB´s should dismiss the rumor as well. It will be an insult to fans and spit in the face of the legacy of the DC characters if there is any truth to this at all. It will not give a way the story or anything important for them to officially come out and say "no we are not making wonder woman krytonian or a superman clone." I don´t think that is so difficult.

I totally agree with him. Please don't make WW a kryptonian that would be a spit in the face to fans. I thought about the same thing about a WW movie. The Greek Gods could fit into our universe and make Ares the villain. I don't see why they never made the movie. It's so simple!!! And I'm not a writer either but come on, damn. All this keep it real crap is getting on my nerves. IT'S F-ING FANTASY meaning our imagination.

Before I get some flack here, I honestly think that Wonder Woman's role in BvS is going to be limited. Gal Gadot is only starting now to train and bulk up whereas Affleck is already looking very buff and Henry Cavill has been in the gym for a few months and primary filming starts next month already. I reckon that it will take Gal maybe 4-7 months to start looking toned. She will be in BvS in a limited role so that 4-7 months from now she will be toned enough to start working on a solo Wonder Woman movie. That is just one theory. But whatever her role in BvS, I sincerely hope they keep her mythos in tune with that of the comics.
And yeah, Jett can go and eat shit.

It was all just speculation, not even a rumour. Jett's comments were misconstrued (it is the internet after all).

Like I said, Gal's casting is a little last minute considering that she needs to bulk up for filming that starts next month. Maybe after filming has finished on BvS, they will start filming a solo WW film in August or thereabouts. Wonder Woman will make an appearance in BvS to establish/introduce the character and then they will start filming her solo movie. No reason why something like that would not work instead of the other way around i.e. starting with a solo WW movie and then going on to BvS or Trinity. Anyways, that is me hoping and speculating for a Wonder Woman solo movie to almost immediately start filming after BvS has finished filmed.

I really hope this isn't the case if they're really going this route why not just use Power/Supergirl instead of detracting from WW's own mythos

Even though it's be debunked I'd love for it to be true. What if Kryptonians came in ancient times and with their superior technology were seen as Gods. The Greek gods a group of Kryptonians that the primitive humans couldn't explain in any other way. Some of these Kryptonians mated with these humans making 'Demigods'. Hercules and Theseus are both actually half human, half Kryptonian. The Amazons could very well be the descendants of Kryptonians.

redhood - because it limits the gods powers. thats the problem, on face value it works, but really it would be uninteresting and uninspired.

A link between Amazons and Kryptonians could work and make sense. There is generally a clash between 'magical'/mythological aspects and scifi anyway that often translates poorly. Marvel's handling of Thor and the Asgardians as something meant to be scifi (and a good idea picked up from Warren Ellis' brief work on Thor) did work well. And 'magic' as simply an advanced form technology that people no longer fully understand, but still can use still could work out well. Doing something consistent would work better as opposed to crossing Star Wars with the Hobbit.

@fangz Agreed. It definitely subtracts from the character of Wonder Woman and all her mythos to simply quantify her and the Amazons and the gods in such a way.
