The quote, "too many cooks spoil the broth" comes to mind whenever I see a new Fan Cast...that, and, "who gives a rats @$$ what you think, you nobody!" We all have our opinions on who would be the better (fill in the blank) actor for the role of the next (file in the blank) character, but seriously, who cares?! Why does your opinion matter?! Listening to too many different opinions is partly why Spiderman (and other super hero franchises) are failing! Yes, I believe the studios are paying attention to us nerds...;p. Part of the problem is no one can agree on who, what, where, etc.. A reboot for Spiderman was inevitable after Spiderman 3, dispite the money made on that film, because they are listening to the Fan Casters and Fan Boys! To quote one of my favorite authors, Philip Pullman, "write exactly what only you can write. Don't make commercial calculations. Be crazy about it. Insist on the primacy of your own vision." If you try to please everyone (especially Fanboys and Fan Casters), you'll end up not pleasing anyone! Leave the casting to the profesionals, please!

And just for the record, Superman Returns failed for the same reason: Donner-Reeves homage, please...;p....
