Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side. R.I.P.D. is directed by Robert Schwentke (Red) and produced by Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious series, I Am Legend), Mike Richardson (Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army) and Michael Fottrell (Fast & Furious series, Live Free or Die Hard).




R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker. The film is set to hit theaters July 19th.

@highflyer I give every film I watch a chance and then call them for exactly what they are much to the chagrin of others.

I kinda see Reynolds as a non actor-performer like a Channing Tatum but I love Jeff Bridges. He's great. And his recent work is awesome.

Loki has been fun but Bridges has been Marvels best film villain so far. True Grit was excellent and Bridges deserved an Oscar for that one.

I like Kevin Bacon also. He was very good in 1st Class and no one seemed to notice.

This movie looks terrible. Ryan Reynolds doesn't have a good track record with comic adaptations -

Marvel/Fox - X Men Origins (promising as Wade Wilson but Deadpool was terrible)

DC - Green Lantern, horrible

Dark Horse - not expecting anything better than the former

I'm excited about his movie. My friend and I were in Boston in late 2011 when they were filming this movie and they had some streets closed off for action scenes. The movie trailer looks funny and exciting and I want to see how they used the city of Boston as the backdrop.
