Paramount Considering G.I. JOE: RETALIATION Director For STAR TREK 3?

While it was thought that Attack The Block's Joe Cornish was the favourite to replace J.J. Abrams on the third Star Trek movie, Latino-Review now reports that a new candidate has emerged who is on the top of Paramount's list. G.I. Joe: Retaliation's John M. Chu. While their sources were unable to fully confirm this report, it's far from an unlikely choice. After all, that movie did earn over $370 million at the box office earlier this year and Abrams' schedule still looks set to be jam packed thanks to his commitment to Star Wars Episode VII. However, what about Chu's? He is still attached to both a third G.I. Joe movie and He-Man, so time will tell. What do you guys think?
