STAR WARS: Revisit The Original Trailers For All Of The Previous Movies
Before tomorrow's Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debut sends us all into a fanboy frenzy, join us as we take a look back at the very first teasers ever released for the previous six films in the saga, from A New Hope to Revenge Of The Sith. Have a look..
It's almost Friday (is Friday for some of us actually), and that means the very first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is right around the corner. Let's be honest, after the prequels not a single one of us believed we'd ever see another film set in that galaxy far, far away, but Lucasfilm, Disney, and J.J Abrams decided to resurrect the franchise and make us all as giddy as a bunch of younglings in anticipation.
Before that most anticipated of trailers hits the net we thought we'd take you back in time and revisit the very first teasers for the previous six Star Wars movies. Obviously the first 3 aren't the best quality, but it's interesting to see how these type of movies were marketed before the term "blockbuster" was even coined. For example, the Empire Strikes Back teaser didn't even contain any footage from the film, and featured some of Ralph McQuarrie‘s concept art instead. It's also slightly depressing to watch the awesome trailer for The Phantom Menace, knowing how it turned out. Anyway, take a look at each one, let us know which one you think was most effective, and may the force be with you.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.
