Ahead of tonight's NBA Finals Game 5 between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors, 20th Century Fox has released an intriguing new extended TV spot for James Gray's new sci-fi film, Ad Astra.

With Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors set to begin in just a few moments, Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox have debuted a new extended one-minute TV spot for James Gray's mysterious sci-fi space epic, Ad Astra. 

The movie, which has experienced several delays over the past year or so, stars Academy Award-winner Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) as an astronaut who traverses the solar system in a bid to find his long lost father, and simultaneously uncover the shocking truth behind the failure of his dad's initial mission, which apparently involved searching for extraterrestrial life. 

In addition to Pitt, the cast features Tommy Lee Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Ruth Negga (Preacher), Liv Tyler (The Incredible Hulk), Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games), Jamie Kennedy (Scream), John Finn (The Walking Dead), Kimberly Elise (Death Wish), Bobby Nish (ER), LisaGay Hamilton (Vice), and John Ortiz (Bumblebee).


 
Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.
