Many of you may not find this news to pleasing, but Chappie director Neill Blomkamp, via Twitter, has confirmed that Alien 5 has been put on hold, seemingly due to scheduling conflicts with Ridley Scott’s Alien: Paradise Lost.

Check out Blomkamp's tweet below.

With this revealed, this leads us to wonder just how long will we have to wait to see Ripley and Hick's next alien-filled adventure. And with Ridley Scott announcing that he has over 3 more "Prometheus" films planned after Prometheus 2, will we have to wait until that barrage of movies is done, or will we get the film in between their cinematic debuts?

Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll receive an official statement from both Ridley and Blomkamp discussing regarding the topic very soon. Until then, it seems as if Blomkamp (as said in the tweet), will be working on other projects. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts about this news in the comment section below!
