The Alien Anthology Twitter page has posted a new behind-the-scenes image from Alien: Covenant. Director Ridley Scott is the primary focus, but Michael Fassbender (and presumably some of the Covenant crew members) can also be glimpsed.

The X-Men: Apocalypse actor will be returning as David the android (sorry, "artificial person"), who we last saw as a head in a bag at the end of Prometheus. David certainly looks a lot different here than he did in that movie - could it be a completely new model? The droid's creator, perhaps? Or did he just get a new hairstyle? Sound off below and let us know what you think.

“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Demien Bichir and Danny McBride, and is set to hit theaters on August 4, 2017.

Me: "Well, I don't know if I should watch this or the first Prometheus"
Friend: "Did you know Micheal Fassbender is in them?"

@Quicker - It's funny, Prometheus is largely considered a muddled film that almost got further sequels cancelled. I feel like the studio probably called Ridley Scott in with their concerns and he got the next film made by saying, "We're keeping Fassbender and that's it." And the studio probably said, "Oh. Ok, then. Make your movie."

If the Aliens vs Predator movies didn't kill this franchise then nothing will.

@blackandyellow - The first one is actually a pretty solid fan film.

The second one is good if you want to watch something that will make your girlfriend break up with you.

Hated Prometheus, even though the cast was excellent. Intrigued by next installment.

So if David is the only surviving person on this planet, then what happened to Elizabeth Shaw?? Because he was just a head in a bag and she was taking him along in the Engineer ship, so wherever David ended up, Elizabeth had to have taken him there, so what happened to her?

I remember sitting at the bar, watching ESPN when the critic's commercial for Prometheus came on and it quoted Ror's review.
