When Ridley Scott's Prometheus sequel was officially announced, we were told that both survivors from that film (Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw and Michael Fassbender's David) would be back. Then, Scott himslef confirmed that only the latter would return and the Shaw character had been written out.

Well, the legendary director must have had a change of heart at some point, because Deadline reports that Rapace is off to Australia to shoot a week's worth of scenes on Alien: Covenant. From the sounds of that Shaw won't play a huge role, but fans should be pleased that we'll get some proper answers relating to her fate in the buildup to the events of this sequel, at least.

Alien: Covenant also stars Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demian Bichir, and is set for release on August 4, 2017.

I peraonally liked Prometheus. Had some holes but overall solid story.

She was great in it running around in her undies at the end.

One of the dumbest endings in movie history - the 'Scientists' realize that waking up the Engineers was a mistake, as they hate us and want to kill us. So after defeating the one awakened Engineer, what does the 'Scientist' decide to do?....

....Fly to the Alien home world, in search of answers, alerting the rest of them to our Existence. Thanks.
