Thanks to SoIsItAnyGood.com, we have a first glimpse of some of the new beasties that'll debut in Alien: Covenant. There's the familiar-looking eggs, a larger version of a facehugger, what might well be some kind of late-stage chestbuster, and most intriguing of all, the creature that's being referred to as a neomorph, which resembles a malformed variation of the original Alien from Ridley Scott's classic.

We don't have any context for the images, but rumor has it that David (Michael Fassbender) will be conducting some kind of biological experiments when we catch up with him after the events of Prometheus, so these monstrosities might turn out to be the results.

“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Demien Bichir and Danny McBride, and is set to hit theaters on August 4, 2017.
