Avatar: The Way of Water was the highest-grossing movie of 2022, and even though James Cameron's epic sci-fi sequel is still showing on the big screen in some locations around the world, we finally know when it will make its streaming service debut.

It's been announced that The Way of Water will be available on two different streaming services from June 7, 2023, when it will hit both Disney+ and Max (formerly HBO Max) .

The Avatar sequel has been purchasable on digital services such as Apple TV, Vudu, Prime Video, and Movies Anywhere since late March, but there's still no word on when the film will hit DVD and Blu-ray.

Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the Lightstorm Entertainment Production stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet. Screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver. Story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno. @Batman91 -

Because they want to stretch out its theatrical window as much as possible.
