Big-Screen Adaptation Of Upcoming IDW Comic THE SHUNNED ONE In The Works

No, that's not Venom in the thumbnail! Alan Robert's latest comic book The Shunned One won't actually hit shelves until early next year, but a movie adaptation from the producers of Oblivion and the Rock's Hercules flick is already in the works.

IDW Comic 'The Shunned One' Getting Big-Screen Adaptation From 'Oblivion' and 'Hercules' Producers (Exclusive)

The Wrap report that musician/writer Alan Robert's (Killogy) latest book The Shunned One is already in the process of being adapted for the big screen. The comic itself won't be with us until early 2015, but Grizzly and Corrosion writer Jack Reher is already at work on the movie script. Robert and his Wasted Talent Entertainment label will co-produce alongside the Coalition Group, whose sister firm Radical Studios produced the likes of Oblivion and Brett Ratner's upcoming take on Hercules starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. According to the synopsis, The Shunned One "centers on an angel of death who goes rogue after refusing to take innocent human lives. His actions alter balance in the universe, causing a chain reaction of unforeseen disasters. As a result, a pack of vengeful death angels are sent down to hunt him. He must hide amongst the humans while trying to undo the damage he's done.” Those angels may bear more than a passing resemblance to a winged Venom, but this sounds like it could be interesting.

Yeah, Legion was not a good movie, but the new ScyFy show called "Dominion" which is based on Legion is very, very good.

Add in some with circles and that would make an awesome Venom design for the Amazing Spider-Man Spinoff

The actors on Dominion are not very good.
Hard to connect to a show when there isn't anyone you connect with.
