In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented - but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.


Directed by Rian Johnson, and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Paul Dano, Looper is set to hit theatres on September 28, 2012.

@Nomis Dude this is nothing like Inception apart from starring JGL. When in Inception did they ever go back in time or meet their future selves?... Yeah that's what I thought.

I think it'll end with JGL and Willis eventually teaming up
And in a sequel they lead a rebellion against the loopers
In a third movie they have enough rebels for an all out war

Exactly how is this INCEPTION all over again (despite JGL starring in both)? INCEPTION was about dreams and the thieves who could steal your secrets or plant suggestions by entering them. LOOPER is about time travel. So again, how is this in any way close to resembling INCEPTION?

Your right, Inception wasn't good, it was freaking great.

Now, this looks interesting. Very much so.

People, realize that hollywood today is practically only sequels, remakes, prequels, and adaptions.

How about some damn original concepts? This looks compelling to say the least, so endorse it

@Bosswalsh jumper was about a guy being able to teleport anywhere in the world. inception was about people getting inside your dreams and stealing are planting information, push was about people with powers all those movies are nothing like looper which is about time travel just because this movie doesnt look good to u u are trying to compare it to other movies u didnt like.

The effects to make Joseph Gordon Levitt look more like Bruce Willis are just incredible! really stunning! :O
I was blown away.

This looks like it's gonna be a really good, clever, thrilling film.
Gotta love Emily Blunt and JGL.

im a big bruce willis fan i own every movie he has been in even thew few that werent so great and as for joseph ive always thought that he would be a big a list actor some day he has real acting chops and reminds me of a young leonardo im very excited for this film i think there gonna make an outstanding team
