Chaos Walking looks set to kick off a much better year for blockbusters than 2020 proved to be, and it's currently set to be released in the U.S. on March 5th (with the promise that it's "Coming Soon" globally). We'll no doubt get some more news on that soon, but for now, Lionsgate has shared a new clip from the movie.
In that, we see Mads Mikkelsen's (Fantastic Beasts 3) David Prentiss, the Mayor of Prentisstown, explain to Viola (Daisy Ridley, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) what "the Noise" is. He drops quite the bombshell at the end of this sneak peek, and we can't help but be intrigued by how this will unfold.
Based on the book The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, Chaos Walking also stars Tom Holland, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, and David Oyelowo.
"In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by 'the Noise,'" reads the synopsis, "a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets."
Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman takes the helm of Chaos Walking, and we hope to have much more on this one for you soon. For now, you can check out this clip from the movie below:
