Rinko Kikuchi Discusses Guillermo del Toro's PACIFIC RIM

"When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse."

Charlie Hunnam was on UNDECLARED. A really funny show. I've dug him ever since then. He was also in Children of Men.

Not only is he British, he's from Newcastle (8 miles away from me) which makes him a 'Geordie'.

So that's him & WWE Wrestler Adrian Neville representing the Toon in the U.S.A

Awesome when Brits make it, even better when they're from local / close by areas.

Love Charlie in Sons of Anarchy & he was enjoyable in the movie 3, 2, 1, Frankie Goes Boom (I highly recommend).

Looking great in this & deserves to be a big Hollywood star.

I had him as one of my choices for Iron Fist, so, I'll take him as either Iron Fist or The Flash, whoever gets their hands on him first, but I think he'll be great in a CBM, but I guess he'll have to get this Pacific Rim Franchise out the way first before he can even sign on for any CBM's.

If DC ever hopes of making a believable Aquaman, they need Charlie Hunnam to play the lead.

I knew he was British but I never heard his accent. Funny cause I saw his work yesterday in the first 2 episodes of sons of anarchy which is so far an amazing show. I honestly could not imagine his real voice cause his American accent is really good
