Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman. The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features:
Director: Doug Liman
Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage
Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski
Bill Paxton as General Farrell Bartolome
Jeremy Piven as Col. Walter Marx
Brendan Gleeson as General Brigham

Jonas Armstrong as Skinner
Kick Gurry as Griff
Kidus Henok as Lewis

I watched this on the plane home last week. I thought it was really good. As much of a whack job as Cruise is, I still like most of his stuff.

I was disappointed in this movie. Not nearly as good as I'd hoped, and the creature design was lamesauce

@christuffer-

Too bad you didn't like it. I thought is was one of the best sic fi-action movies to come along in years. One of Tom Cruise's best efforts.

@SonofStarKiller

It wasn't a bad movie, don't get me wrong, but I expected much more out of it. It wasn't as cerebral or high concept as I thought it'd be. I know that sounds pretentious, but...I liked it. I just didn't love it. The moment where they made the reveal why all of this was happening, my "like level" dropped a few ticks, I don't know why. And why are the aliens called mimics? They never explained. The aliens don't mimic anything from what I saw. This was weak design in my book, and it made the movie less fun for me
