In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented - but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film was written and directed by Rian Johnson ("Brick") and also stars Emily Blunt ("Salmon Fishing in the Yemen"), Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels.

Anyone who dug Looper should checkout Comeback from Image. Just read the first issue and thought it was pretty killer. Some similar themes happening.

This really changes the scene. In the final cut of these scene she's very subdued and cooperative..here she's sarcastic and annoyed. I like the scene. Plus it shows how the boy got to that tunnel outside in the yard.

Finally saw this movie and I wasn't impressed. I don't get the hype. Visually and acting wise it was good but the directing wasn't. It was aight.

Every time I glance some pics of her or see where she's going acting wise I get way more confident with her as the lead in my Ms. Marvel Fancast.

It was a good indie. I'm pretty sure I can call it an indie. I was a bit disappointed by it honestly (the "masterpiece" hype), but it had a lot of jawdropping moments (escapee melting; Sid bursting Jesse). I like some of the themes it dealt with ("cycle of violence", etc). In the end, it should get recognized by the Academy Awards for Best Writing (Original Screenplay). The monologues and that scene between Young Joe and Abe was neat ("this time travel crap, just fries your brain like an end"; "the movies you're dressing like are copying other movies"). Yeah, and the whole cast was amazing.

Very good scene, I didn't really find anything wrong with it, but I know Rian Johnson had a hard time being brutal in the cutting room and having to only leave the real meat of the story. Just bought the blu-ray today and am listening to the commentary. Best movie of the year.

The movie was terrible. Started off great but the 2nd and 3rd acts were unbearably boring and the writing became very lazy.

Why did she choose to do a Jack Black movie insted of being Black Widow? If she was BW I wouldn't have cared about the over-use of the character in the Avengers.
