Set in 1979 Ohio, the film will follow a group of six young children as they use a Super 8 camera to make their own home movie. One night while filming near a remote stretch of railroad track, the children witness a truck collide with an oncoming train leading to a catastrophic derailment. Amidst the fire and destruction, something emerges from within the wreckage, something inhuman.

Starring Elle Fanning, Joel Courtney, Kyle Chandler, Noah Emmerich, Ryan Lee, and Ron Eldard, Super 8 is set to be released on June 10, later this year!

Wow, it's like a little bit of Blair Witch, E.T., Cloverfield, War of the Worlds, and Goonie's combined. I'm so eagerly expecting some never scene before politically correct family drama that can only be explored/explained threw the innocent eyes of a child. Proof positive that hollywood still has new ideas and many ways of recycling the same creative story telling to earn some extra cash. Just dandy!

Saw this last night on fox, they're releasing a new clip every night at 8pm, until Wednesday or Thursday. Although some may not agree with the premise of this movie, Spielberg does have a history of producing blockbusters with children as the main characters. I'm actually looking forward to this movie.

J.J. you can show us the monster, stop being such a dick. If it turns out to be aliens, I'm walking out of the theater. Signs, War of the Worlds, Monsters, Skyline, Battle: LA, Cowboys and Aliens. I am getting sick to death of alien movies where they don't show the actual aliens in the trailer.

TheMightyThor Yes, I love that 80's Speilberg feel- When movies were good and you didn't have a cluster [frick] of films coming out every second. I'm not really digging the whole secrecy, cloverfield approach with the ads, but I'll see Super8 for the nastalgic look. Old school movie magic.
