In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

The view through the ship window is very familiar. Bring it on, Ridley!

@Pux: exactly: it's just eyecandy. I will not be reassured until I have seen this in cinemas and seen what the general reaction is.

This is looking better and better!

And if it's just a team running for their lives and something killing one at a time this will be the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER!

But I'm believing Ridley!

Great Scott!

The first and second look pretty cool. Glad to see some decent images from this. All of the other pics of the cast in this thing have looked terrible.

The technology used by the crew and the look of the designs etc are way more advanced than the Nostromo if this is supposed to be a prequel? Which leads me to think that Scott started out with the intention of a prequel but ended up using the Alien universe for something else? I would hope i'm wrong and by the movies finale we see the crashed derelict ship give up it's real cargo!!!
