Getting real tired of movies going digital two weeks before physical releases. Physical copies will always beat digital.

@JatevinM

For sure, haven't bought a new DVD in like 4 years since I converted to blu-ray.

Not a buy for me... Sorry, it was extremely lackluster for me. Lemme know about the crossover with Pacific Rim.

What's a DVD? (Slaps self) oh yeah, weren't those the things we got until Blu-Rays came out? jk but in all honesty the only reason why I don't buy DVD's anymore is because of how loud my playstation(s) has gotten when it comes to watching them, plus Blu-Ray enables you to have the perfect audio experience if you have the right stuff to hook up that is. But yeah I'll watch a DVD any day especially if they're classic films. But yeah, if they're going to make a trilogy I'd best start now with copping that Blu-Ray as the first in the series. Should've done the same for Apes!

Then again you can get great audio experience with DVDs as well if you have a great stereo. The graphics ARE better on Blu-Ray though. All depends on the Tv you have.

As a lifelong Godzilla fan I loved this movie on the first viewing but after a while liked it less. They really did tease Godzilla far too much and focused too heavily on the human characters. Also *SPOILER* killing Bryan Cranston off withing the first 30 minutes was a major WTF moment for me.

Blu-Ray hands down, GODZILLA was an amazing experience for me, and I look forward to owning this film as well as the rest of the trilogy once they make landfall in the near future.

Damn, The Winter Soldier comes out Sept. 9 and now, Godzilla the week after. I'm going to get the 3D bundle and watch it on my lovely XBOX ONE! Especially since Microsoft will finally enable 3D playback in August on the Xbox One. :)

@atruehero, your still nursing that thing?? :)

@whoeversaidit, there is no comparison in audio from DVD to blu, most blus are not too far off from the source.

This movie was very disappointing :(

The only time I will ever get a DVD is when I'm buying a shit movie to take to a party. Like yesterday I bought a $10 DVD of iFrankenstain to bring to a party tonight. I'm not spending $20 on a Blu-Ray for a shit Frankenstein movie. But for this, it's worth it.

@Jobin, yeah I get the whole "realism" angle they were going for but I thought it was overdone how they kept ignoring Godzilla. I think the MUTOs actually had more screentime than friggin Godzilla.

I agree. I still buy DVD's and probably will for as long as physical copes keep relevant and coming out.
