Fans have been anxiously anticipating a teaser trailer for the latest installment in Universal's block-busting dino franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion, and we recently learned that the first footage will be attached to IMAX screenings of Fast and Furious 9, which is set to hit theaters on June 25.
While it'll probably be a while before that entire extended look will be released online (if it is at all), we do have a brief sneak peek of some footage thanks to the official Jurassic World Twitter account. It's not much, but it does provide a teasing glimpse of a prologue that's expected to take us back to a time when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.
Descriptions of the full preview found their way online last week, and following our little trip back to the Cretaceous period, we will get to see a T-Rex wreaking havoc in a drive-in movie carpark.
Jurassic World: Dominion will feature JP originals Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant), Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Sattler) and Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm). We're still not sure what kind of role they'll play in this film, but they are expected to make more than just brief cameo appearances after Goldblum's two minutes of screen-time in Fallen Kingdom came in for a lot of backlash.
Dominion will also see the return of the previous movies' stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, along with Jake Johnson (Lowery Cruthers), Omar Sy (Barry Sembane), Justice Smith (Franklin Webb), Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez), Isabella Sermon (Maisie Lockwood), and BD Wong (Dr. Henry Wu).
Franchise newcomers include Mamoudou Athie (Sorry for Your Loss), DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Scott Haze (Venom). Jurassic World: Dominion will open in theaters on June 10, 2022.
