Iron Man 3 star Rebecca Hall played Dr. Ilene Andrews in Godzilla vs. Kong, though we won't hold it against you if you've forgotten; after all, the movie's humans weren't exactly the focal point of that epic clash!

An anthropological linguist with shady government agency Monarch, Irene's story ended with her setting up base in a monitoring station deep within the Hollow Earth. There, she can keep watch over King Kong and the other monsters that reside in the planet's bowels, likely making her a pivotal part of what we can expect to see play out in Godzilla and Kong

During a recent interview with Herald Sun (via SFFGazette.com), Hall shared high praise for director Adam Wingard and confirmed her character will share the screen with Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals), who plays conspiracy theorist Bernie Hayes, in the upcoming sequel.

"I had such a good time on the last one and I loved everyone involved in it. I loved [director] Adam Wingard - he's such an eccentric visionary in terms of a filmmaker and I really enjoy just being a part of his neon-inflected universe," the actress says. "The people in it are great, and the people behind it are great."

"I was really excited to get to work with Brian Tyree Henry who I didn't get to work with on the last one and this time, we have a lot of stuff together so that was great. So, the whole thing was just delightful."

We're intrigued to find out what could bring those two together, and have no doubt they'll butt heads over their opinions on Earth's Kaiju. Plot details about the movie are relatively scarce, though the title monsters are expected to team up this time in order to face a much greater threat. We also expect to meet Kong's son based on previously reported details.

Kaylee Hottle (Godzilla vs Kong) also returns from the first movie, while new additions include includes Dan Stevens (Legion), Fala Chen (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Alex Ferns (The Batman) and Rachel House (Thor: Ragnarok).

Godzilla and Kong is set to be released on March 15, 2024.

And to think all this started because Joe Brody couldn't live with the guilt of losing his wife at the Muto's slumber, opening a freaking pandora box to the world.

Now a giant ass ancient mutant dinosaur and a giant [frick]ing monkey are about to tag team on some other giant mother[frick]er.

Love it.
