We're now just a few weeks away from the release of Godzilla Vs. Kong, and Total Film has shared three new promo stills for the highly-anticipated monster mash.

The first sees the Great Ape climb a skyscraper (careful up there, Kong!) as Big G approaches, while the second shows the legendary titans locked in battle. Finally, we have a new look at returning human protagonist Madison (Millie Bobby Brown), alongside new characters Josh (Julian Dennison), and Bernie (Brian Tyree Henry). The trio appear to be staring down the jaws of a familiar looking Kaiju.

While an early synopsis for the movie assured us that "one will fall," the prevailing theory is that Godzilla and Kong will ultimately join forces to stop a larger threat (Mecha-Godzilla? Mecha-Ghidorah?) to the planet - but that doesn't mean they won't do some serious damage to each other beforehand.

Check out the new images below along with a recently released clip.

“Legends collide as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”

Starring Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick and Brian Tyree Henry, Godzilla Vs. Kong pits the two famous monsters against each other in an epic battle.

Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok) and Max Borenstein (The Terror) wrote the screenplay, with Adam Wingard on board as director. The movie is set for release in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31.

Mothra.

Every King has a sassy Queen who really controls them. Like what chris rock said about Obama. when he won, Michelle Obama was like yes "WE" president...not just you.

@mastakilla39 - Mothra was a boss and Godzilla definitely wouldn’t of won without her

@mastakilla39 - Im pretty sure Godzilla slept with Mothra, and she was Kong's wife (or vice versa)...so now, they are kicking each other's arses. I mean the pictures tells it all :)

I'm hoping the theatres open up again where I live in three weeks so I can watch this on the big screen. That neon would look glorious on the big screen.

Calling it now, the film ends with a cameo from 2018’s critically acclaimed the Meg, starring Jason Statham lol
