Matt Damon Joins The Cast Of Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR

He may have quickly dismissed reports that he'll be teaming up with Ben Affleck's Batman, but Matt Damon will soon be working with a director well-known for his connection to the Caped Crusader. That's right, the former Bourne star is the latest addition to the cast of Interstellar!

In an exciting piece of casting news, The Playlist have revealed that Matt Damon is the latest addition to the cast of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. While details on the character he will play are of course being kept under lock and key, they do reveal that it will be a fairly minor role as Damon will only be on set - in Iceland - for two weeks of the four month shoot. The actor joins an incredible lineup of stars which includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Topher Grace and Michael Caine. I wonder how everybody fan casting Damon as Lex Luthor feels about him after his Batman is just a guy growling comment. Maybe he thinks Lex Luthor is just a quirky, eccentric, business man.

Crazy good casting for this movie... Chris Nolan is at least putting together a 'Stellar' team... let's hope the movie is as good as the cast.

@sunfire I'm with you on Clooney and Affleck but Damon was fantastic in Bourne, The Rainmaker and (less so) the Departed. I wish he had a bigger role in Interstellar

Well this is INSANE!
The cast of Interstellar is absolutely mind fvckingly Awesome!

Damon was Nolan's first choice for Harvey Dent for TDK, he couldn't do just cuz schedule conflict with last BOURNE film that he was already signed on for!
So him working with Nolan even briefly is great & he can be a part of DCU, cuz of Ben & Nolan!!

Holy exciting movie news Batman! This cast looks sick, The story sounds very interesting. I'm not the biggest Nolan fan (thought TDK was decent, and I haven't gotten around to watching Inception yet) but this film is becoming my most anticipated non-CBM film of '14.
