In honour of the highly anticipated sci-fi film's Facebook page reaching 200,000 fans, six new images from Ridley Scott's Prometheus have been released. Check them out after the jump.

Ridley Scott, director of "Alien" and "Blade Runner," returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Prometheus is set to hit theatres on June 8th.

See...the thing is, if he put this out as a stand-alone film it would probably be great. But I already know where this thing is headed and I'm afraid to watch it due to the Lucas effect- retroactively ruining the entire Alien franchise for me- so...PASS.
