Director Matt Reeves has tweeted two new BTS images from the "Ape Village" set of the highly anticipated sequel Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, which will be featured at 20th Century Fox's San Diego Comic-Con panel later today.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPheean and Judy Greer. The film is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2014 in 3D.

@Damdy wel, if you remember in Rise a spaceship is lost so the third could be about those astronauts coming back and seeing caesar in charge of a full blown Ape soceity or Caesar Jr Od like to see Dr. Zauis there too!

i had very low expectations for the first one and it turned out to be great. This franchise can pretty much do no wrong in my book. Cant wait.

The movie takes place a decade after Rise, the virus has nearly wiped out most humans, Francos character will be dead by the time. That being said I like the Direction the Apes franchise is going.
