New Image Of Michael Fassbender In PROMETHEUS

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With 'Prometheus', he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies, Idris Elba (Janek) has revealed that fans needn't worry about the various trailers and TV spots showing off too much of Prometheus. "There's so much more to it than [what is revealed in] the trailer," he told the site, hopefully putting an end to the complaints that the studio has revealed too much about the Alien prequel. As well as revealing the above still, they talk to the actor about his experience working on the film, so be sure to click on the link below to check that out.

STARRING:

Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw
Michael Fassbender as David
Guy Pearce as Stannison
Idris Elba as Captain Janek
Logan Marshall-Green as Holloway
Charlize Theron as Meredith Vickers

RELEASE DATE: June 8th, 2012.

I hope Scott doesn't just leave it with the Space Jockeys... but make the Space Jockeys part of a larger civilization that could be explored in future films.

cant wait for this

@greengo

not necessarily, the producer said if Prometheus does well, they will make a sequel to the movie that will have less to do with the Alien movies and more to do with its own mythology

this means that we will probably see the Space Jockey's ship crash with the Alien eggs on board and this will lead to the Alien movies

but the Prometheus sequels could be set in a different past of the galaxy dealing with a different story, Im guessing its gonna go this way (hopefully as Tainted87 said it would look more at the Space Jockeys' civilisation, maybe even a human/Space Jockey war. maybe that was the reason Weyland-Yutani were so wanting to get their hands on the xenomorphs in the original movies, because they needed a weapon to fight a secret war against the Space Jockeys, just an idea)
