FOX has unveiled a new international trailer for their upcoming Rise of the Planet of the Apes, opening in theaters on August 5 (12th in the UK).



In Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of Avatar and Lord of the Rings films is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

The film stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo and Andy Serkis as Caesar.

trailers look tight. Whats the story with the apes? Are the Planet of the Ape movies on future Earth? different planet? different dimension? never followed the Ape movies...

Wow it looks really good, but seriously where the frick are there enough apes in one place in the US to be that big of a threat? That point aside I'll try to enjoy the flick. I'm a huge fan of the originals.
