In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green, Prometheus is set to hit theatres on June 8th, 2012.

Did anyone notice that Space Jockey seem to have a suit that's opening at 0:23?

My guess is that the being at 0:24 is the space jockey without the suit (which we thought was his body structure):

Cool sci-fi stuff...just hope it doesn't become a slasher flick in space.

@headlopper - this is my only concern.

hope it doesn't turn into another "a misterious predator kills a crew one at a time" kind of movie.

We already had a lot of it.

@Fogs- Exactly.
My contention is that Scott has access to cutting edge CGI , and the benefit of property saturation.

So I'm hoping he's made a film that's a true science fiction thriller.
Honestly ,if I hear this film's a 'who dies next' or 'who's the last one standing', I'm not going to see it!

I'm expecting better film-making of Scott this time 'round.

@Fabius- Did you see 'John Carter'? Plenty of killing in that- that's a Disney movie.
There's so much sci-fi potential here, it would be a shame if it was squandered on a fomulamatic slasher 'die one- by -one' type of screenplay. Lazy film-making IMO.
I'll pass if that's what it is...

@the moon you've never seen any of the alien movies...that's just sad

@Fabius - yeah, I don't think it will be like that either. The whole "aliens from the past" is a good start for a good story. Seems very solid. I'd be VERY disappointed.
