Shane Black's eagerly awaited reboot of the The Predator franchise has just added another major piece in Academy Award-nominated actor Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner 2049). Check it out!
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that 20th Century Fox's The Predator has added former Academy Award-nominee Edward James Olmos to the cast. Details on his role were left intentionally vague, but the report does add that his character will have ties to the military.
The 2x Golden Globe-winner & Primetime Emmy-winner joins an impressive cast that features Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), Keegan-Michael Key (Why Him?), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Jacob Tremblay (Room), and Thomas Jane (The Punisher).
Shane Black (The Nice Guys) is directing the reboot with a script he co-wrote alongside Fred Dekker (Edge). Principal photography is currently underway, but plot details are being kept under lock-and-key.
Olmos recently wrapped Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049, where he'll be seen reprising his role as Gaff from the 1982 classic and can also be seen next in the pilot episode for the Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC. His other recent roles include The Simpsons, Dexter, 2 Guns, and a five-episode arc on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
