RoboCop is an upcoming 2014 American science fiction action film remake of the 1987 film of the same name. It is directed by José Padilha and written by Joshua Zetumer, Nick Schenk and James Vanderbilt. The film stars Joel Kinnaman in the title role, with Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, and Jackie Earle Haley. Filming began in September 2012 in Toronto,[1] and the film is scheduled to release in the United States on February 7, 2014
