I just came home from watching it. It's really good! It gets a 7.8 from me.

It's not perfect, and there are elements of the film that are weaker when compared to the better parts, but it's still a good movie. Joel Kinnaman kills it as Alex Murphy AND RoboCop. That guy is awesome.

Also, they pay tribute to all looks of the Robo Cop armor, including the ACTUAL Original design (i'm not talking about the black and silver redesign, but the legit Peter Weller look!).

@jimoakley666: I won't spoil anything, but let's just say that the Black Armour is Raymond Seller's (Micheal Keaton) idea. He's an antagonist in the story.
So put those 2 together :P

Hell, i'm too excited to stop talking about it.
I'll mention the fight scenes. Awesome!
When Robo walks, he does the full body-chest turn, but when he fights, it's beautiful! It's like he's dancing. Due to his combat software calculating bullet trajectories and ricochettes and bullet speeds and things, he doesn't ever stop moving when fighting. He doesn't stop and point, he just keeps moving and ducking and turning around pillars and WOW, does it look epic. He doesn't run, it's almost as if it's Walking Parkour, like he just makes the best use of the environment.

TotalFilm just gave it four stars, here's their final verdict.

Verdict:
Taking the original and successfully transplanting it into an ambitious new world, José Padilha’s english-language debut is an exciting, pacey and thoughtful sci-fi actioner.

LOL they get all the professional designers to come up with a modern version of Robocop and they did a pretty damn good job but then you have the studio spit in their face and destroy it with that awful final design.
I actually would have watched it if they left it as the grey suit.

I'm very excited for this movie, I'm not being like a lot of other cry babies that won't give it a shot because of the original. I LOVED the originals but come on this looks awesome.

Pretty pumped. Almost every review I've seen has been positive. Hope this film does well and we can get a new rebooted RoboCop series.

Oh and i wouldbt mind an all black suit had it looked like black metal with the same chest piece as the silver one

The black one has a very odd rib cagey design that just looks stupid

That hand... fail just all around

Let me just spoil it for you morons since you're all so idiotic that you're not even going to watch the movie!

Raymond Sellers decides to have Robo wear the black suit. Once robo kills him at the end, Dr.Dennet (Gary Oldman) builds him a new body, this time Silver and Black, just like the old suit.

There, happy? [frick]ing morons.
