this could be good ... entertaining at least. I'm not expecting some masterpiece. There were to many disadvantages already. Padilha tensions with executives, script is probably too similiar to the original Robocop script.

Still Padilha directed one of the best crime dualogy : Tropa De Elite. Let's see what he's done this time.

@ Bane5000,

Looking at the trailer it looks like there is 2 different versions of the silver suit. I may be wrong but the suit in the beginning when he chokes gary oldman looks different than the one where he is jumping off the roof or running down that exploding hallway. So maybe the black suit doesn't last that long in the film and he gets his old armor back or something? Who knows.

Looks horrible.... And if its going to be PG-13 like I read they were trying for, then it's going to suck and be a pointless remake.

This actually looks pretty damn good. The original was cool but not epic enough for me to think a remake is a bad idea..... Looks cooler than the original

@Sunfire ...you hope he can fly? [frick]ing hell you want this movie to take shit from the bad Robocop film(the third one in case you don't know)...............this movie looks decent...but until I see it,it isn't a Robocop film in my book...I'll reserve my judgement.

He's gun hand is kept human so he will on trial as a human if he were to commit any crimes. Theres no laws against robots committing murder.
Stupid movie either way. I wish people won't support it as its such a piece of garbage compared to the original. Im a huge Robocop fan and I will not watch this in the theatre as if this movie had a different title wouldn't watch it anyway, so thats how I'm treating it.

Watching the new films trailers and clips, I feel like I am one of those shareholders looking at inferior early versions of a Robocop.

BlackRobin98
BlackRobin98 - 11/6/2013, 6:41 AM
The other problems are, (a-hem *clears throat) uh filmmakers?? THIS COULD BE ANY GENERIC ACTION SLASH SCI FI ADVENTURE! AND I HAVE A POINT TO PROVE IT!!!! GUYS REMEMBER THE GOSH AWFUL ACCELERATOR SUITS IN RISE OF COBRA!? The special commentary TELLs us that they were FOR ANOTHER FILM CALLED ACCELERATOR
POINT BEING THAT ELEMENT WAS RAPED NO KY INTO THE OTHERWISE "bad ALL by Itself plot. Point being, you could call this movie by Ny other action name & it'd be the same!
Call it; Reactor 6. Or The human element. Wanna go sorta 80s & U have Cyber Cop, Man N Machine. YES I'll see it but nothing is new and we all can agree it'll never have RCs HEART!
SORRY SO LONG
