Ryan Gosling & Harrison Ford Haul Ass In Four New Photos From BLADE RUNNER 2049

With Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario, and Arrival, Denis Villeneuve has been on quite the run and this summer, we'll get to experience his latest directorial venture, Blade Runner 2049, which will see the director team with Ryan Gosling (La La Land) and Harrison Ford (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

As part of their extensive Comic-Con preview issue, Entertainment Weekly has debuted four new stills from the upcoming movie, featuring fresh looks at Gosling, Ford, Robin Wright (Wonder Woman), and others. Gosling also provides a little bit of background information about the first photo and details what it was like working with Villeneuve. "Here’s a perfect example of working on this film. In the script, my character walks up to a guy sitting at a desk, and we have a very small exchange. It’s probably a quarter of a page of the screenplay. I show up at set that day and that is what they built.” He laughs. “I said to [director Denis Villeneuve], ‘You built all this for just one scene? It takes up an entire stage!’ And he said, ‘Yes, well, the scene is in the movie, right?’ It didn’t matter if it was a quarter of a page or an important set piece — everything was treated with the same level of detail and importance.

Check out the stills below:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 features:
Director: Denis Villeneuve
Ryan Gosling as LAPD Officer K

I really should see the 1st film on Netflix.

Awesome pics. The director is very good as well, my fave films from him were Prisoners and Arrival.

Could not care less.

Blade Runner is an overrated snoozefest. And, yes, I was there in the theater on the first day of its original release.

I walked out thinking, "Did I REALLY spend four dollars for THAT?????"

Make Gosling the new Indy with Ford as Pops Indy. Yes, The Last Crusade is my favorite.

I'm a lot more excited for this than I should be. I loved the original.

That being said, I can see why people don't like the original - the Director's Cut and Ultimate Cut make it a bit more cohesive. If you haven't watched those versions, it might change your opinion on the original film.

The original is really good but its not one of my favourites. Adding Villeneuve and Gosling really amps this sequel up as opposed to it being just Scott and Ford again.
