So I'm not the only one who thinks the CGI apes look like complete sh!t? They look like one-step above those cheap monkeys in 'Jumanji'!

I totally get what you guys are saying, but I was ten when I saw the first movie in the theatre back in 68? (can't remember the year) and I thought it was awesome even though the makeup and prosthetics were cheesy looking. I still think the story will carry this. Whenever I watch Dark Crystal I know I'm watching puppets, but I enjoy the art for what it is. It's a good story. I think that's how you should view this movie. Allow yourself to enjoy the story and the cgi shouldn't get in the way. Think: Spiderman 2. Obvious CGI, but, I loved it!
