THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. Opens on November 22, 2013.

One of the biggest plot twists was in the trailer, as well as another if you didnt catch on if you had not read the book. At least they didnt show any arena action scenes, which are very intense in the book and in the arena you will have to be on the run big time.

Teenage girl shit? 40% of the audience on opening weekend for the first movie was male, comparedto the average of 15% for all the Twilight movies. Twilight was teen romance stuff.

Hunger Games this time around is doing former winners, basically an All Star Hunger Games, shes going up against the best of the best, even someone at 80 is in the games (Mags) again.

Also wait till Mockingjay, which has more brutality in it

Love traingle, ok well lets see in the first movie Gale was in it for what 20 minutes tops, and is a non factor really till the 3rd book. Katniss was faking her relationship with Peeta to please the audience, she doesnt want a boyfriend, she doesnt want a relationship, I guess you forgot the part where she said "Im never having kids" translated to you.

There are so many other storylines in the series its not a love story. Is there romance in it, yes, but everything has romance in it, every comic book superhero has a love interest, but you never hear people complain all the time about Superman/Lois Lane or Spiderman/Mary Jane Watson or Hal Jordan/Carol Ferris, think about it.

Lionsgate is the one laughing all the way to the bank when the film made 5 times its production budget

The books and story actually isnt that bad, it's something right out of some Bendis Marvel stuff. Most dudes on here cant "like" it because it has a chick as the main protagonist, it's okay ego-bos and swag-kids...

I think you hit the nail on the head, I think they dont quite like it cause it has a chick as the main hero and she ends up becoming the symbol of an uprising, though she is reluctant and hesitant and had no intentions in the beginning of doing it. People also want to find a reason to hate it just because and cant get a straight answer on why they hate it.

when i first heard of the hungar games i thought it was twilight tween bull crap..but my cousin, who is male, told me to give it a chance..its not like twilight at all..the books are great and this storyline is also awesome..i loved the first movie and i just got done with the first book..the book is awesome and i cant wait to read the second which ill start on in the next few days..i cant wait for this movie..its awesome stuff..to those who think its tween romance bull crap..you are wrong..its awesome..give it a chance..its very brutal and u will end up liking it...i garrroonnneeettteeeee!!!!!..lol..but seriously..this looks awesome
