CBS All Access brought the heat to its New York Comic-Con panel today as it debuted three new trailers and revealed tons of new details about each of their upcoming
Star Trek-universe series.
The hotly-awaited
Star Trek: Picard, which will feature the return of Sir Patrick Stewart (
Logan) as the legendary Jean-Luc Picard, was undoubtedly the showstopper of the day as it was formally announced the series would premiere on January 23, 2020, with new episodes, from the ten-episode freshman season, arriving every Thursday.
Additionally, it was confirmed that
Star Trek: Discovery would return for its third season in 2020.
It was also announced that new installments of
Star Trek: Short Treks would begin streaming today. The first short follows Ensign Spock’s (Ethan Peck) first day aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, which doesn’t go as planned when he and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) are unexpectedly stuck together in a turbo lift.
