AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Star Paul Bettany Joins HAN SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY In A Mystery Role
Director Ron Howard has announced that his upcoming Star Wars spinoff film Han Solo has added a very familiar face in Avengers: Infinity War star - and frequent Howard collaborator - Paul Bettany!
While reshoots are expected to wrap within the next few weeks, it appears as though Disney and Lucasfilm's upcoming Star Wars spin-off film, Han Solo, has added yet another key piece to their illustrious ensemble as Paul Bettany (Avengers: Infinity War) has joined the cast.
Director Ron Howard, who took over for Christopher Miller & Phil Lord earlier this year, shared the news on his personal Twitter with a new photo of himself on-set with Bettany, who is fully decked out in costume. It's uncertain what role he'll play, but Variety reports that he's expected to replace the character previously played by Michael K. Williams, who had to leave the project last month due to his commitments on the upcoming biographical drama The Red Sea Diving Resort.
Bettany's addition marks the third collaboration between him and Howard after A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code.
Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) will star in the title role with a supporting cast that features Woody Harrelson (War for the Planet of the Apes), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Donald Glover (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Thandie Newton (Westworld), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Goodbye Christopher Robin), Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Ian Kenny (Sing Street), Warwick Davis (Harry Potter), and Clint Howard (Apollo 13).
