Whatever else Star Wars Episode IX is, it will sure be beautiful to look at.

With the news that the upcoming final entry in LucasFilm and Disney's sequel trilogy is set to start filming this Summer, more of the creative team is being rounded out. Obviously Episode IX will see the return of director JJ Abrams (The Force Awakens) to the director's chair with him also co-writing the script alongside Academy Award Winning screenwriter Chirs Terrio (Argo).

It has also been revealed that Paul Inglis will work on the film as the lead supervising art director. Inglis worked most recently on the stunning Blade Runner 2049 and whose body of work includes; Skyfall, Prometheus, Children of Men and HBO's Game of Thrones.

Paul Inglis joins a design team consiting of costume designer Michael Kaplan (Blade Runner, Star Trek, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) and creature designer Neal Scanlan (Prometheus, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom)

After the divisive response to The Last Jedi and the lukewarm anticipation for Solo it remains to be seen how audiences will respond to the as-yet-untitled Episode IX but I think one thing we all will probably agree on -- the film will look great.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to the worlds and designs of Episode IX? Or the film in general? What did you think of Blade Runner 2049? As always leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Could look amazing - but it needs a great writer involved.

At the moment you have one of the writers of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League being paired with J.J.Abrams (who most rehashes) - it's not looking good to say the least.

@ElCidJedi - Opening sequence: Rey wakes up from a nightmare called TLJ on the Falcon while Luke is piloting the ship to save the resistance. In flesh.

@boiling -
Rey: “What Happened?”
Luke: “Snoke is attacking your mind - he’s trying to drive you insane.”
Rey: “Father?”
(Beat)
Luke: “Yes.”
Rey, still weakened, begins to cry.
Luke: “Chewie, set the course for light speed.”
(Beat)
Luke: “I’m coming Leia.”

@ElCidJedi - seriously mate, I see that sequence right before my eyes and it makes me sob a little. And even more angry about what we really got. It’s such a shame, unbelievable.

The visuals have never and will never been/be a problem in Star Wars. The new trollogy lacks substance nonetheless.

To everyone being involved in this new mess, the only thing I can say is: Runnn... save yourselves while you still can!

With SOOOOO many movies out there, that magic we had with the first Original Trilogy is gone, we'll never get something that special ever again. You can't top it, you can't even stay even with it, it was made perfect, and that can't EVER be duplicated. Just quit trying to compare this trilogy with the Original Trilogy, it will never be as great as that was.

JJ can't do it, and not even your ideal director, cast and crew could ever make something as good as the OT. It's just not possible. Just let the new films be what they are, and accept what the director and writers make. It's Star Wars, just not the Star Wars we remember back in 77-83. Love it, or hate it, that's all you can do. Whether it's Solo, Episode IX, Kenobi, Fett, whatever it is, I'm going to watch it. It could be bad, it could be okay, or even good, I'm a Star Wars fan, and I love to visit that place far, far away.
