Whatever else Star Wars Episode IX is, it will sure be beautiful to look at.
With the news that the upcoming final entry in LucasFilm and Disney's sequel trilogy is set to start filming this Summer, more of the creative team is being rounded out. Obviously Episode IX will see the return of director JJ Abrams (The Force Awakens) to the director's chair with him also co-writing the script alongside Academy Award Winning screenwriter Chirs Terrio (Argo).
It has also been revealed that Paul Inglis will work on the film as the lead supervising art director. Inglis worked most recently on the stunning Blade Runner 2049 and whose body of work includes; Skyfall, Prometheus, Children of Men and HBO's Game of Thrones.
Paul Inglis joins a design team consiting of costume designer Michael Kaplan (Blade Runner, Star Trek, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) and creature designer Neal Scanlan (Prometheus, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom)
After the divisive response to The Last Jedi and the lukewarm anticipation for Solo it remains to be seen how audiences will respond to the as-yet-untitled Episode IX but I think one thing we all will probably agree on -- the film will look great.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to the worlds and designs of Episode IX? Or the film in general? What did you think of Blade Runner 2049? As always leave your thoughts in the comments below.
