Harrison Ford 'Han Solo' Hospitalized After Injury On STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Set
Disney has revealed via an official statement that Harrison Ford has been injured, reportedly by the Millennium Falcon, while the veteran actor was filming J.J. Abrams' Star Wars sequel. Check it out
According to Mirror, veteran actor Harrison Ford was at Pinewood Studios today when a hydraulic door fell down on him as he was filming Star Wars: Episode VII. "The Han Solo actor fell to the ground in agony and after medics assessed him on the M Stage at the studios close to spaceship the Millennium Falcon, he was taken by stretcher onto a helicopter for further treatment," reveals the UK source. Ford was apparently airlifted to an Oxford hospital, where he's currently admitted. Disney also released an official statement on the mishap: "Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates."
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong'o join Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, and the film opens December 18, 2015.
