POLL/DISCUSSION: What Do You Think Of The New STAR WARS Title?

After months of rumors and speculation, yesterday we found out that the official subtitle of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars flick would be "The Force Awakens". Too simple/safe perhaps? Were you hoping for something a little more enigmatic? Have your say after the jump..

If there's one thing I've found after years of writing about movies, it's that sequel subtitles very rarely go down well at first. Remember the backlash for the likes of The Dark Knight Rises? Thor: The Dark World? Rise of the Dawn of the etc etc? It's only after they sink in and people get used to saying/reading them that they're accepted...usually anyway! "The Force Awakens" has so far been met with either indifference or negativity in most camps, but let's be honest folks, it could have been a LOT worse!

The title would seem to fit in with a lot of the rumored story details we've heard about, and suggests that after the events of Return Of The Jedi, the last remaining force-user (that'd be Luke Skywalker) did indeed go AWOL. His re-emergence will most likely awaken the force not only in himself, but another character (or several?) and the galaxy far, far away in general. It is a rather pedestrian title, but after Phantom Menaces and Attacks of the Clones it's not really surprising that Abrams and co. wanted to keep things simple. So what do you think? Vote below and then sound off in the usual place.
