Last week, we reported that production has wrapped on Star Wars: Episode VIII, but it seems that was a bit premature. Though actors Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill had filmed their last scenes and the movie actually held its wrap party, obviously there was still a bit left to shoot.

Well, now director Rian Johnson has announced (via the Star Wars Twitter page) that he has officially filmed the last scene of the movie, and shared a brief video of the "final slate of the final shot".

The still untitled Episode VIII is not out until late next year, but fans will get to return to the galaxy far, far away soon enough when Rogue One hits in December.

The principal cast of The Force Awakens (aside from Harrison Ford *sniff*) will return for Star Wars: Episode VIII, along with newcomers Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern. The movie is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
